2010 Chevrolet Equinox
The 2010 Equinox is a symbolic name for this new General Motors member of a troubled family. Named after the astronomical moment that marks seasons, GM surely hope it will mark a change to “warmer” and “sunnier” times for the company. This Chevrolet CUV came to this world with great responsibility over it’s head (or hood, as it were..).
Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, not to mention the pumped-up Escape from Ford, are just some of the strong competition the Equinox is to face on the CUV segment.

Last week, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) has published the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox crash test data.
In summary, here are their findings:
- IIHS Top Safety Pick: Overall GOOD ratings for Frontal Impact, Side Impact, and Low Speed Rear Impact.
- NHTSA Frontal NCAP: 5 Star driver, 5 Star Front Passenger
- NHTSA Side NCAP: 5 Star driver, 5 Star Rear Passenger
